our Potus #1, BrokenChain has had a busy time recently at Team Universal Soup. We had triggered Top Form on Que Nam Hong, our first Top Form period on purpose. For any rider, ever. So this took some new planning.
Recent performances
Que Nam Hong
During his TF period Que has been able to rake up quite a few results. A 7th spot in Zyte GP, a win in Zyte Talents and 3 stage results plus an overall dominant victory in Race of the Minutemen. What's more, is that he also took first place in the Vietnamese rider ranking and propelled our team to an never seen before 900 points ( we lost some already ). To celebrate this great TF run and the overall RotM victory we have adapted our teams jersey to incorporate some aspects of the RotM jersey.
Because we wanted to give him optimal support, our other branches have just been racing. Getting a 2nd spot in a BA race as the only result, because our Hill captain was supporting Que and our Sprint train is not at the right level yet.
Future goals
earlier this season we gained a podium in the Monte Rosa Tour giving us a wild card. It will be hard to capitalize on this wild card, because if we stop racing now we are probably 6 whole points too high in the ranking to make it. The current ranking shows, that we would make it, by 6 points. We haven't scored any points since our first progress about it, but we probably will keep on racing to try and make it to the Norway Tour in div 3 instead. Not scoring a single points for 50 odd days is also very boring and will make us lose a season, and give us a lack of training money as well.
To reach the Norway Tour and do well, we will also need Que to be totally fresh, so he is recharging his Top Form as we speak.
Transfers
We have made it to 18 riders, giving us more options to race. However now that Que is recharging, we are in need of another rider to join us and make life easy on our POTUS.
Therefore, our POTUS is proud to announce that Be Dúc Dình will join us as soon as possible for the fee of 200k. He will be used as a second tour captain and all round utility rider once he arrives.
Trainees
In the meantime we are also trying to update our team by training and rejuvenating the old guard.
Vo Quang Duong has been acquired a while ago and has yet to complete his HL DH and FR ( all Small ). His Good TT and small TQ will probably not be trained as his CL turned out a bit too low.
Duong Tân Thang was hired recently too by our manager. he has an interesting potential and will be trained HL first. If this is high enough to make captain material he will be trained in FR, TQ and CL. If not he will be trained in CL, FR, TQ.

Hô Ngoc Ngoc is the latest addition to our squad and he is a born (105pt) climber. He will eventually be trained CL DH HL and then FR TQ.
